I do not know if there is any difference but is the intercooler a V7 or V8 or higher for that matter Intercooler. I know that a V7/8 will bolt right up to the 02WRX which is what I have.

I'm not too sure either, but I think I have a V7, and I know it bolts up to a 02 WRX because it is on my car at this moment! It went on very easy. If you want it let me know, I will de-install it.
