fast? put a wrx turbo engine in it, preferably the 06+ version, to be cost effective. everything else (N/A mods) is a waste of time if you want fast.

suspension or rally-crossing? then, you've got a whole 'nother world to look forward to...

sure u can make n e thing fast if u have the money.
besides CAI u can get a header and a catback to free up the exhaust flow.
gains r going to be minimum tho.
since u live in california i would just save up for a rear ended wrx or sti and just swap the whole thing in there and go ref it to get ur bar'd sticker and call it a day.

our cars aren't meant for speed shoulda known that when you bought it. they are made for snow, mud, rally, handling.

Not getting much speed unless you dump tons of cash into your motor or get a sti or modded wrx.

Yea, sorry to say being a fellow RS owner, you really should have done your homework. That said, look up the SubiSport issue about SubiFest a few years ago when they put a RS against an STi in timed laps. Same driver, same course with suspension mods, intake and catback exhaust. The RS was faster. But that course was technical, and the STi couldn't utilize the power because of boost lag.

To Do list:
-get delta cams
-CAI/short ram
-lighter wheels
-stickier tires,
-WRX front brake swap
-Legacy H6 rear barke swap
-Koni Sports front and rear
-Sport Springs
-Front and rear sway bars
-Front and rear strut tower braces
-make the car as light as possible

You'll get blown away in the straights, but it's more the adequite in the twisties.

Goodluck.

If you were smart you'd stay off calaveras. And the SI will outhandle you.... it's lighter and more nimble. You need the work on your suspension. The smart thing would be to sign up for AUtocross and learn your car that way. and talk to Gagan (joltdudeuc). His RS is insane.

On mine I was hanging with a SH Prelude on Calaveras with Springs and Exhaust. Then I wrecked on the road. Havent driven it hard on that road sence. But I have gotten the handling EXPONENTIALLY better. Koni Sport struts, Whiteline sway bar, strut tower braces, lightweight WRX Alum. hood. and a bunch of other stuff to make the car better. Its not very fast in a straight line, but I know it can outhandle a SI as it is now, and with the new springs I'm looking at that will be a definate.

Good luck, ask lots of questions, don't do anything stupid (like calaveras runs at midnight).
