In the last part of his ad he states:

"This car is in very good shape, all of the work done were very professional. Currently has 45K miles. I've just bought it very recently, had big plans to make the car into more of a track car, however, when I took it to the best Subaru specialist EQ Tuning in the area, they found that the engine leakdown results are not good, so it needs a head job. It drive just fine, in fact, I drove the car from NY to CA as it is, so I had no idea. I had big plans and was going to do a crazy build, but recently drove a nice 997 turbo that I just loved and had to have, so I'm moving on from this car. My lose is your gain, this is quite a bargain considering a brand new EJ257 engine can be had for less than 3K, and the car had over $40K of work went into it."

So i don't think he ever got it dyno'd or went all out, just speculation tho and I apologize to OP if I'm wrong

possibly by the previous owner, but the IWSTI thread doesn't shine much light onto it except for the fact thats its a dedicated E85 car
