If people only had the slightest clue how many cars on the road these days with a "clean" title were in a very bad accident and repaired, minds would be blown. Basically anything that wasn't reported to the insurance company to get a payout, technically "didn't happen". The reason why I was comfortable buying it when I did was that I KNOW where it was damaged, I KNOW exactly what was replaced, and I KNOW that absolutely nothing else was affected. And have pics/receipts.
But that's a different topic altogether
I challenge anyone to come over and find anything significantly wrong with this car. That includes taking it to SUBARU and getting a full inspection, and whatever else kind of inspection you deem necessary.
All my fellow locals that I hang out with all the time know this car, and I KNOW that very soon someone with cash will look past the branding and check it out/fall in love with it enough to drive it home.
Til then,
I'll be enjoying it daily
And thank you all for the kind words. Its nice to see people appreciating this thing.

I'd be curious to check it out myself as I may be back in the market depending on what happens with the one I'm holding out for.
I talked to someone that looked at it and had the impression that it was "perfect." But yeah it's a combination of things that you'll run in to. The salvage title makes it much harder to get a loan from the bank and insurance. Most folks aren't buying cars with cash. You will eventually find someone that will. It's a nice ride. So there's that. Then there's just the general fear of the salvage as most folks don't understand how easy it is to have it happen as far as level of damage. And you have the price point. It's not obscenely off kilter. It's actually a lot better than 2 other salvaged fxt's I've seen come out of Sac in the last month. But it's in the ball park of some non salvaged ones I've seen. It's a tough road but if you're patient you'll most definitely get what you're wanting out of it. Its's a bad *** looking car.
So if it's still around in a few weeks I may come out there and look at it. I'll be up that way on the 20th.

I've bought a salvage titled car before and didn't have any mechanical problems with the repairs at all. But like the guy said, it's not just about the repairs, it's all the other salvaged-titled related stuff, insurance, banks, resale value and just the general stigma. I wouldn't mind a salvaged title car tho as long as I know why it was salvaged.

Most folks just see salvage and have mental pictures of cars that are smashed and FUBAR. It's unfortunate.
Best of luck selling this bad boy. She's pretty.
