GLWS. i would part it out to be honest. upgrading and modding your car does not increase the value of it unfortunately. its all bases on the mileage of the chassis. unless you find the right buyer. nice car and good luck.

I see how much does a WRX part out usually make?

Whatever the market will pay for it. Time being money, cheaper prices will make things go faster, though again re: first statement, how worth it is it to take the time and effort to pull the parts?

I was about to part out my car recently, but for various reason I decided not to, as it just wasn't worth the time. Also ended up keeping it (no plans to sell it as is or stripped down to as stock), but that's another story.

As always, YMMV.

If I was a potential buyer, I would want to know additional information on the following...

Can you elaborate of the "no major frame damage"? Was there any frame damage (however minor)?

Which other "body parts" needed to be replaced in addition to the bumpers and the hood?

How do we know it is true low mile 70,XXX car if the whole cluster has been swapped out?

Actual base car is a WRX TR, which might make a difference in used book value and insurance pricing...even though KBB is only a rough guy, salvage WRX TR with your mileage probably wouldn't crack $10k.

I will second the part out sentiment. It is a WRX is STi drag; while it looks very well done and clean, few thousand dollars more buys a real STi of same generation with a clean title.

Depends on the market, parts condition and how patient you are. Wheels and tires can get you $1,000-1,200. Complete brake package $1,500-1,700. Turbo, TMIC, sway bars...couple bills for each item. You definitely do have parts people will buy...

Anyone please correct me if I am wrong anything. GLWS.

Absolutely correct, I have similar mods as the OP, except mine has a clean title and a full 6spd swap, but I have a bad motor and mine is a lmtd 07.... I don't even think I will get 10k for my ride lol
The killer part is the salvage title. People don't like salvage title cars, although some have had little to no damage when the title was issued and are mechanically perfect....
With that said GLWS

No doubt thanks for the inputs. the car is 70k miles original i had the STI cluster swapped to match my current miles. but I sold a completely stock '06 WRX 2 years ago for 12,000. Would be very disappointed to make 2k less with all the parts I put into it. I would take a long time to part out i might as well keep it. the good thing is that many hawkeyes are getting harder to find under 100k miles. was a testing water but i think i got my answer. thanks guys.

Stock clean title cars will always fetch higher values versus modified ones (if you consider all of time time, effort and money involved in the latrter). Enthusiasts want stock cars because they are clean slates. Non-enthusiasts want stock cars because...well, they are boring non-enthusiasts.

That said, I do miss my '06. Hawkeyes were always my favorite (even if I never owned one).

For some reference there is An 06sti with 90k clean title going for 19k and people are hitting him with 15k lowballs. I think 15k would be your highest in this market at the moment

forsure. thanks for the input. same people will be talking about why do "hawkeyes" cost so much in the near future. have a feeling that the price will only be going up cause they will be getting harder to find in decent condition.
