If you're going between the 912 and the DWS.... DWS is a WAAAAAAY better tire. If it's a money thing I'd consider several tires over the 912. I like my kumho ASX tires way more than the 912. 912 is an awesome tire in the wet. That's about it.
And I'm running 235's on my wagon. 235's are easy as pie on the sedan.

I like my 912s a lot...got one set 225/45/17 and one 225/40/18..they reach grip limits kinda quick but are very easy to control, and they are awesome in the rain...I did get them at cost when I worked at a tire shop so that played a big factor as well...got both sets for under $700 and didn't pay mount/balance because I installed them myself
Small sidenote, the 912s run a bit wide...I was rubbing on stock suspension on the 2.5i on 17x8 +35..mostly has to do with the offset, but it did compress a lot, had to roll the rears
with my wrx on 18x8 48 and pretty low on BCs, I've got very very little rubbing on BIG bumps, no fender roll...I had 245/40s on the 18s when I bought them, and it touched the fender, and was like a couple mm from touching my coilover shock...no bueno
If you do go 235, id go 40s not 45s...235/45 will probably rub
I had 235/40 sdrives on 17x7.5 et 48 on sti struts/springs and there was no rubbing ever
