This is a 2.5" catback that I thought was 3".

Sounds awesome.

Great torque! A 2.5" catback will make more torque than a 3" but a tad less hp with the 2.5" over the 3". Stock STi is 2.25" IIRC so this is bigger than the stock STi catback.

Painted black for stealth with black BBQ paint (1100 degree)

1 small dent in mid pipe. It was like that when I bought it. Doesn't hurt perf or sound.

Here it is on the back of my STi. Will fit your WRX

Idk if it would fit your mid pipe. If it will then maybe. It is a 5Zigen Fireball, what is your midpipe? Maybe take a photo of it.

If you like it go to the DMV's website and pay for it. It's available as I retired it. No use having my WRX looking STi with a plate that screams STi.
