Car Info: MY04 STi some call it a race car
if you ask me it for sure is not a daily driver b/c you need to run 100 octane. could it be detuned sure...but then there is ZERO reason of having the JDM motor. JDM Motors are designed to run 96+, so tuning it on 91 would be down right stupid and a complete waste of $16k.
I used to get this all the time from people back when we did the GC8 conversions "I want a JDM motor b/c it has 60whp more", I always broke there heart when i told them sure on 96+ octane you are right and on 91....its the same as any other POS other than you can have the headache of the "JDM".
This setup is not a car for everyone. It should be purchased as a track/weekend car, and one that someone doesn't want to smog and just use for track use. If you want to smog it, its no biggie but like I said having it "JDM" comes with a lot of extra work/time/money.

A few random thoughts on this car:
1.When Noah and Adam say they this car needs a new owner who will actually use it, they really mean it. I can't recall a time I've recently dropped by the shop and seen it not taking up a lift, sitting pretty, collecting dust.
2.They will take absolutely nothing less then they are asking for it. It is already a steal and that is that. I am completely certain LIC would rather destroy this car, than take a penny less than what is being asked. I witnessed the carnage when they moved shops

Hi,
I can barely sleep through the weekend. I've had a silent love affair with the car since my recent introduction to LIC. I've actually been there a few times since it went up for sale and didn't know! I guess the guys didn't think to tell me since I've been focusing on the 06'. This car answers so many of my prayers and problems all at the same time. I hope this car helps me get my Race license next season!! I would never think to ask for 1 penny off, and reading all these posts has me vested in the vehicles history, and value. I did ask them for a couple of hours of shop time, hehe!, we'll see. It doesn't matter, I am totally excited. LIC will be seeing more of this car, it's not a goodbye!
