What's the weight savings from all the parts removed from your car? 20 lbs?

Probably less than 20 lbs since its mostly plastic pieces.

You'd get better weight savings by removing the sound deadening.
I had plans to remove the sound deadening, but got distracted by other stuff.

If you're interested in saving weight, the L has no sun roof and its manual door locks and windows. Compared to an rs, its already lighter.

 

Yea, these cars are pretty light when you get everything off/out of them. The shell is about 600 pounds.

 

Man, great rally shell haha. GLWS, if i was back from Afghanistan I'd consider it for a project lol.

 

I updated the first post with the following additional information:

The car is a 1.8 liter with AWD.
There's no rust in the quarter panels
RS headrests have been swapped to blank headrests.
Registration expires on November 16. You can non-op it as early as September 17.
