I was gonna use this to get a cd burner for my iMac but Best Buy doesn't sell any.

Really...? But wouln't it have to use compatable software? I'm looking for an external drive, and I already have a firewire cable and 2 ports, and 2 usb ports on the back of my computer.

Most external CD burners can be used for either MAC or PC. On the side of the box there's a little circle with a blue X on it You can use any type of burning software.
