semi-newbie...

i'm the semi-newbie here. i was actually on here a few years back, but sorta fell off. anyway, i'm back now.

i drive an AT 2002 wtb wrx stock. it's currently at Gino's shop (GB Motorsports) in Hayward getting worked on. but hopefully it'll be up and running again soon.

it was brought to a previous shop in SSF (don't wanna name names) where they claimed to know about Suby's, but really didn't, and so... bad things started happening. anyway long story short, i learned my lesson, and will listen to my friends on i-club from now on. Gino was able to figure out what was going wrong with it within the first couple days of me dropping it off. so i'm confident that he will take care of my Scoob.

if you've seen me around the Fremont area, or are wondering which wtb wrx i am, i have the white Fox Racing sticker over the brake light on my rear windshield. it looks like skull & crossbones, but with the fox head instead of a skull.

if you were wondering why i got the AT instead of MT... i thought getting the AT would deter me from adding onto it. but i guess i was wrong. it's currently getting an upgraded turbo, turbo timer, and unfortunately tranny is getting worked on. i'm interested in hearing people's suggestions on possibly increasing gas mileage on it. a friend of mine got stage 1 turbo, and said it increased his gas mileage.

anyone got similar experiences, stories, suggestions?

Welcome back.
Listen to your friends and only bring your Subaru WRX
to good reputable shops.Congrats on getting your new mods.
Getting better MPG is as easy as doing your general maintenance
on time.Change your air filter with a new clean genuine Subaru air filter
because a dirty one can rob up to 10% of your MPG.Always change
you motor oil on time every 3 months or 3K miles.Install a new Subaru
fuel filter because a dirty fuel filter can rob power from your Subaru
and your MPG.Take any heavy or unwanted things out of your car.
Only put gasoline that has a premium additive in it like Chevron.
Kick your passengers to curb and drive solo.Don't have a lead foot
and stay out of boost.
