Redd - Newbie!

Hello forum! Well... Basically I've always had a thing for cars since I was young, I just didn't really open myself up to it till I was about 16 looking for a car.

I have a little 2.5L Nissan Sentra SER Spec V (2005). I bought it from a dealership to make payments and I plan on finishing those payments along with saving up money all of 2013 to get myself a 2012 STi, if I don't save as much as I'm looking to save then I'm going to just get a 04 or an 07 STi

I used to go to car meets every single Sunday night but I've been busy with my career lately so I haven't got to go to any events but I been doing my best to stay in with magazines and the Internet

I'm looking to learn, I want to know about air fuel ratios, compression ratios, torque, brakes, rotors, as much as I can about engines..

I know very little, but definitely not enough to say I'm educated upon the subject. I mean I can throw on some bolt ons just like any other person, but how can I use a access port to let the engine know I bolted something on? How can I improve the power of a vehicle the right way?

I know, a lot to learn.. Haha I'm open minded though, especially with a positive community on the forums
Most of my questions I plan on browsing the forums to find answers, I just figured I'd throw everything out there so if anyone wants to throw in their two cents they can

If you guys have any recommendations for me to learn more let me know!

Yeah when I test drove the Sentra I was a bit surprised by the power it had, I mean yeah it isn't that fast but it pulled pretty damn good for a first car and I could keep up pretty well with others. I'm ready to upgrade already though haha

Thank you guys for the welcomings
