Hi,

I need a new car in about 6-8months (currently work live in the city, moving to the suburbs in about 6 months).

Really really like the GH hatchbacks. Is there anything I should know before becoming an owner? Most likely will purchase pre-owned/used. Don't plan on doing too much modding horsepower wise, but will probably do suspension, brakes, etc.

Ex:

How long do these things last mileage wise before need of major repair (engine, turbo, diffs, transmission, etc.)?

Is it worth it to get the STI? Seems like the only major difference is the 6 speed (vs. the 5spd)?

Are there certain years I should avoid or that are better than others due to changes year-to-year?
