Paypal scam
Paypal scam
So I was looking to buy a set of coilovers on another forum from a seller in another state. So it would be shipped and I would do the Paypal thing. I have done this before but I was purchasing from a well known seller. How do I know I can't get scammed like I will send them the money and they won't send the product? Thanks for helping a noob

Thats the risk you have to take when buying used parts. When I buy used parts, I look for who has good seller reviews and all.
If its a first time seller, I chat with them via pm to get the best information out that I can and if anything doesn't line up or sounds sketchy, I bail. If it sounds okay, make the risk..
If they screw you over, file a claim on paypal.

if they are verified, pay the 3% fees, don't send it as a gift. should he/she screw you.. file claim. paypal takes their money and holds it as pending. you get your money back done.
i hate paypal for this reason esp as a seller. I sold iphone a while ago, buyer claimed that he never recieved it, I had it certified for a reason, so he did sign for it, but he filed a claim, paypal still took the funds out of my account. 3 years later, still in dispute today. the guy already ran off with the phone and my money.
