Noob in a Soob

Hello. I have a 97 Impreza. It has over 354K. She run good. I enjoy driving her. I've never had a subaru before. Here are some pics.

She has some quirks. the Shifter is REALY loose. I've missed 4th gear a couple of times. Oh yeah and that dear that the previous owner clipped (see pic.)

Im getting a code back from OBD saying Knock Sensor 1. I know this fails inspection. Where is the sensor?

Fixed the sensor Right on top. (thank god) another question. Thinking of putting in some gauges (has only Gas, Temp and Speed). Whats the best way to run the wires? please note: I live in an apt. complex and it is fround apon having your dash in peices in the road. I also want to avoid drilling. Thank You.
