Talking noob from SoCal

to Subaru, long time looker, 1rst time buyer 2003 Forester AT.
Have owned mostly Honda/Acura and a few Toyotas.
Figured since I pedal to work most of the time, a lower mpg rice-bowl with AWD would be FUN! Decided to go AT for those trips thru traffic in LA and San Diego. Now I've also got room to load camping/paintball/beach cruiser!
This has more amenities than I expected: 2 holders above for sunglasses, double-center console storage with cup holders, dual lights, outside temp thingy and more! It even came with rear cargo liner <3
It's from the east coast; so I'm expecting to replace the exhaust piping and some related suspension bushings soon. Ride Feels pretty solid and I'm having fun rolling over curbs n things I wouldn't have dared in my old lowered EG and Prelude.
The HUGE moonroof is impressing my friends for sure!
Mostly joined here to learn the tricks/nuances of my Forester and aim to increase the MPG to 25/26MPG with any documented mods. I'm not interested in "rice"-ing her out. Just maintain & improve slightly where possible. Thanks in advance!
