IMO: Recommended part list in order

1. cobb ap
2. turbro back exhaust (dp and catback) w/ protune
3 Springs or coilovers
4. Front back strut bars
5. Front back sway bars w/ endlinks

6. I'm sure once you get up to this setup, im sure you'll know what you be getting next. . .

Hope this helps. . .

First off, welcome!!

Secondly, I agree with Rush, but you want to know choose mods that are going to suit what the car is going to be used for. If it is going to be just a DD then power mods and maybe some suspension work is great. But if you are planning on taking it to the track or auto crossing, then your mod path will be different.

IMO:
for DD
1. cobb ap
2. turbo back with protune
3. sways and springs

For DD and auto x
1. good set of tires (over anything else, a good set of tires can improve your times better than any other mods)
2. Depending on how you think the car feels maybe some sways or coilovers if your serious about it.
3. Power mods to improve the car's acceleration when exiting turns

For DD and Track
haha I have no idea, but I know there are a lot of ppl on this site that can help you out.

Why I agree with Rush but disagree is that you don't want to be spending money on mods that are not going to suit the car's purpose. Some ppl end up buying coilovers and end up getting rid of them because it is just too stiff for a DD.

Good luck and once again welcome.

Sup

Thanks guys, I am a old skool Honda guy and now I feel like such a rookie with my STi. My car will be daily driven for now until I get a commuter. I am looking for a clean sound, and a clean jdm style look on the exterior. I am just researching for now and getting educated.

Well then that would probably be the cheapest route considering all the money involved in auto x and track days etc. so good choice!! lol Check out the user review sections for CBE (catback exhaust) and exterior pieces. When you find a couple of exhausts that have good reviews and are in your price range, go to youtube.com and see if you can get any sound clips of them or better yet post a thread about the different exhausts your interested in and see if anyone in your area is willing to meet up so you can hear it in person!! Hope that helped!

Good luck!
