Thats my buddy Johns old car. The black one you posted above is mine.

His/Your car is the one in the back. That was how it looked this summer before he put the spoiler back on and swapped back to the RPF1s.

It's only a stage 2 setup. He had a basic cobb tune on it from what I remember. STIs have a fuel cut for the rev limiter, so it won't just bounce off the limiter like other cars.

I believe the coils were BC or Stance. BC sounds right to me.

Oh ok cause the check engine light comes on and the cruise control flashes. This happens when I really step on it. After a couple of hours the check engine light comes off so I was thinking it might need a tune.. Do you recommend me taking it to e.q in Fairfield?

Yea I would take it to them. I hear great things about Ed, although I have no personal experience with their shop.

However, I would first recommend pulling the CEL codes using your COBB access port and assess those issues before doing anything further.

Enjoy your new car. I believe I bought some wheels off of the previous owner a while back. Its a really nice car.

Thanks man!

I'm also new to all this Sti stuff I am slowly learning and browsing online. I don't have an access port but I would think Ed will have all this right??
I'm curious to know the hp on this thing.

You will have to buy an Accessport.

There are a few for sale here on the forums. I think sticruisin is selling one.

Sounds like he took the accessport off the car before he sold it. In that case you need to either take the downpipe off and put a stock one on for now or get it tuned asap.

You should not be hitting boost with no tune and an aftermarket downpipe.
