My wife and I will be picking up a 2003 WRX. We both drive focuses. We are trading hers in. I drive a 2002 SVT Focus. Cant wait to race her!

Dont now anything about these cars, just the motor alone looks wild.
Not planing any mods until I learn more about the car.

What are the commom mods people do to these cars?
What mods are useless. I read that CAI dont really do anything. Is that true?

Best mods to start off with are exhaust downpipe n up pipe. Once those r in find the tuner of your choice n get pro tuned using a cobb access port or ekutek. Those r the first steps in nodding anything after that is getting away from simple modification.

 

Should I leave the stock intake on?

 

get a k/n filter

 

Just a K&N filter is better then any sri or cai?

 

yup... no need doin aftermarker intake unless your planning like 350+whp

Yup stock airbox is rated for 300 whp n don't do a bov unless u turbo upgrade.

 

One more Question for now... I drive a 2002 focus SVT. I want to know if my wifes 2003 Impreza WRX will beat me in a drag race.
