New to the site and a new 03 2.5RS
Hey guys,
I'm from Idaho Falls but am originally from the east bay area and I just bought my first Subaru in Boise five days ago. It's an 03 2.5rs with 200,000 miles on it. Holy miles right?!? I don't know much about the n/a models of Imprezas so the next few years will definitely be a learning expirience but I have always loved the brute sound and power from these boxers. The previous owner was the 2nd and didn't take very good care of it and I plan on making this thing fast and clean.
I have always been really into cars, since I was about 10. I currently work for O'Reilly Auto Parts and also have a 04 Honda Civic (wifes car) and an 82 Porsche 911 (the track car). Guess I have a thing for bug eyes.
Any advice right off the bat for a new subie owner???

Good thing the wife can drive a stick!

First thing to me is find a good Subie mechanic
Then check for all the "normal leaks". Those will give you a good idea of what was done and what wasn't quite often. Anyone who says leaks are normal on a Subaru does not do proper maintenance. Change all the important fluids including diffs.
HG is just starting to go on my 97 OBS with 230Kmi on the clock.
