New owner in San Jose
Hey guys i'm a new WRX owner in San Jose. Just got it a week ago for my 21st birthday. I'm completely new to AWD, so it feels awesome coming from an 01 accord. Anything that you guys recommend i upgrade first? I was thinking COBB exhaust system and AP first, but not really sure. Again, i'm new to WRX and the whole tuning scene, but I hope to learn quick. Here's my car. If you see me, just say whasup

Yea the scoop is kinda big. I was thinking of going with the CWII Seibon Hood, and stock hood scoop. That one came with the car. And I'm getting a paint job in about a month, so I'm gonna have the guy take off the front lip and adjust it as it should be because it scrapes a lot on just about anything. I can't even hit a corner hard because it will hit. Powerwise though, would a COBB Exhaust and AP be a good investment first or is there something that would be better. (I'm running on a tight budget, only about $500-600 a month or so that I can spend on the car.)

hey welcome to the boards
nice to have another south bay person, we have a meet on Friday night over on curtner and monterey at wingstop. try and drop by this Friday and you can gain some knowledge towards the suby.
whats your budget like as far as mods go? for something quick and simple, you can remove the snorkel piece underneath your hood so your spool will be a lot louder. other cheap and inexpensive mods are sway bars/ endlinks/ pads/ fluid etc.
once again welcome

Alright, well I'll see if I can find the snorkel. Or I'll have someone help me with that. Friday night it is. I'll try to make it to the meet. As far as budget goes. I'm looking at about $300-400 a month that I can spend on mods considering gas, phone and other bills until summer, then it should jump up to at least $600 a month that i can spend on mods.
