Hey All,
My name is Wilson, and I joined i-club a while ago but have just recently been able to dedicate more time to the Subi. I ride around in a 2000 Impreza 2.5RS. I love the car and have high hopes for it. Haven't done too much to it yet except for a Tein suspension and a couple other things.
My big decision now is whether or not to do an engine rebuild with upgraded parts or to do a full motor swap with a '08 or later motor. Both can prove to be quite expensive. I am hoping to ask around on the forum to get some advice on this topic, so look for some future posts

Yeah, I have been leaning toward a motor swap. I have heard nightmares about the wiring though. Not sure if I would be able to find a shop to do the work since I don't have the knowhow to do it on my own and a lot of places have stopped working on my model year.
Thanks for the recommendation

Welcome back to the club i guess lol.
I would vote swap as well.
Just buy a wrx/sti ecu and wiring harness. Should make it easier than splicing when you already have.
