NEW 2 I-CLUB! n QUESTION!
Hello everyone, Jay here. I've been looking at this forum for answers to my WRX for a long time and I've finally decided to join up. Thanks for the welcomes and helps.
Question: How would my 2003 wrx look like with 17'' or 18'' rims without any drop?
If you could post a picture of a WRX without lowering in 17 or 18 rims, it would be very helpful.
I have a limited amount of cash and want to be sure of how it looks before I buy!
Thanks Again!

First off welcome to I-club, you will meet some cool guys/gals and learn a lot about you Subaru. I don't have any pix of my car without a dropm but I can tell you that they don't look all that good. I would say that 18's will look better with no drop.

First off welcome, not to throw questions at you to answer a question, BUT what are your goals for the car, just a sick DD, or maybe a weekend auto x'er? This could change what you want to get first for the car BUT don't let these questions stop you from getting what you want.
Thanks steal,
This car will be my daily driver. I plan to keep it not too flashy, but still nice. I just put a blitz catback exhaust, HID, and LED lights here and there.
but next is rims.. I dont want to lower my car just yet (because I heard negative effects about springs)... so how would 18s look on a stock wrx?

A drop would be, and was for me, the first thing I did. The ride height is a lot more appealing and the ride itself is a lot tighter but not at all uncomfortable. A subie without a drop just takes away from the rims you put on there IMO.
I'm sorry I don't have any pics, most people have springs as being one of their first mods.

What haveyou heard negative about springs? I have heard nothing I mean coiloversare deffinately better but im doing a set of cobbs installed for 550 so you can beat the price. I heard there are other springs that ride better but i want the extra lowerness.....IMO like above I would drop it first then get the rims so you can get the best fittment ideas for tires etc......
Plus it doesnt look to bad droppd with te stockers.

I would use some of the tire/wheel sites that allow you to choose your car (or a similar one) and then pick rims for it to at least get an idea of how some of the rims will look. If you can, work your car and the rims you would like into Photoshop and mess around a little to really get an idea. Sometimes 17s look better than 18s. Welcome and good luck to you!
