Talking Need Cat Converter Want to Keep subie sound

Just got my first subaru its a 2003 wrx. I need to find a catalytic converter, but I want to keep the stock subaru exhaust sound. Anyone know what I should purchase to keep that?

The subie rumble comes from the UEL headers, not the exhaust itself. a cat will make things quieter though

cat or no cat is a personal preference, if you don't mind the smell/forcing other drivers behind you to smell it, and the fact that you could get a fat ticket for running catless, then go for it.

For the record, I'm running a catless DP + catted axleback.

Be advised, if you run catless, you need a tune.
Not to mention you are asking for problems from local law enforcement.

Why do you need a cat?

He can run catless on his 03 without a tune, just wont see any power gains.

Just pick up a stock DP, it has two cats. So you have an aftermarket downpipe on your car now?
