Like stated it is pretty easy just make sure to get pb blaster/wd40 etc i was doing my up pipe and broke 2 of the studs.I got lucky and was still able to thread my bolt on t one of them the other is just hanging.I will be doing a down pipe soon aswell so im not to worried about it.Here is a link to some gaskets etc if you need them. I see you have a 02, i would also recommend doing that up pipe if you have not done it yet.

How do you I-Stall a downpipe?

Lol it's easier than you think just have some tools and patience. And yes, replace that uppipe before it breaks apart on you.

Pb blast the hell outta those bolts and studs. I've broke both bolts and one stud. Gotta take the turbo off tomorrow to drill it out and put a new stud in

You can also use break cleaner if you don't have pb blaster, wd40 works kind of but not too well. I've been told your supposed to take the downpour off when it's still hot/warm but I don't recommend burning yourself

dont get brake cleaner, just get some pb blaster and soak everything for a while. And if you have a stock uppipe just replace that too since you have a catted stock one.

Let me know how that goes.I need to do the same but dont know how to take the turbo out.Is there a special tool to take out striped bolts so i dont have to remove the turbo? When i do the down pipe i want to fix the bolts but dont want to make a easy swap turn into a all day job.

Dabida, depending on what you snapped or what threads you messed up on. Studs that are broken like I have need to be "punched", which creates a little spot on the broken stud to be able to drill it out without your drill bit slipping all over the place. If you didn't break it but just need rethread it there are rethreaders you can use. Doubt that's your problem though

Yeah so the one bolt closest to the intercooler will not come out its stuck and just hanging there lol sticking out to.The other the stud broke but has some thread left were i was still able to use it but is broken. What i will have to do is break the bolt head and drill both out to.I did find this if it helps.
