hi i just bought my first 04 wrx
Cobb acess tuner is the cheapest and effective mod that i can think of. Im about to order one for my Legacy GT. And speaking of modds.....love how you put a 06 front end on your 04!

looks sweet man, im a big fan of white/gold too... and 04-05's :P not biased or anything, but as for upgrades that a lot find to be most cost effective....
1. turbo back exhaust with the accessport, plenty of initial HP gains to have fun with
2. upgraded front/rear sway bars(+ endlinks are pretty cheap too and give you the full extent of the bars potential)
3. swift springs, inexpensive/car will ride and look great
after that its up to you!! every1 has their own 2 cents and theres a lot of different yet all equally worthy upgrades you can follow, have fun with your own
welcome

^ agree with all his input as far as cash money invested is concerned as well as decent gains. I've dont TBE and springs, next is sway bars. I've got an 04 as well. Protune will get you more power but then you dont have some of the features on the accessport that some people use. Most dont use the features so a protune better suits those people
A good custom tune is a must. Don't use the OTS maps except on a temporary basis or unless you never plan on going past stage 1.
