i have an auto 2004 impreza outback sport and when i give it gas and when it goes anywhere over 3,000rpm the engine gets loud and is starved of power. its not an exhaust leak, i tested back pressure in cats and replaced them, replaced fuel filter, air filter, and plugs and wires. none of this has even made an improvement. im lost and so is my mechanic so please let me know what you guys think, im new to i-club btw.

 

Have you tried all fuses and checked the ecu

 

Yea there were only a few blown and they were just dash and interior lights and replaced them. Maybe maybe the engine is just dying ?

 

Dirty fuel injectors?

 

Perhaps clarifying what "loud engine" means for us? Can you share a video with sound on YT?
