Do you think that a 1.6L non vtec civic with a melon launcher is tough with its tough sounding exhaust note? Most tend to poke fun at cars setup like that, when all the owner wanted was to make his civic sound tougher..

OP, as stated by others, toss on an Axle back muffler and enjoy the sound. when you get bored of it and/or want more try a header.
Your doing the right thing though by asking and searching before purchasing. You will have to weed through comments to get the information you are seeking.
