Hello from San Francisco

Hi everyone, I just converted my cloth interior to leather in my 9-2x and the guy I bought the seats and door cards from highly recommended this forum. Among the highlights mentioned of this club, he continually stressed how fun the meets are. Since he was so chill, I figured I'd check it out.

My name is Alex and I own a 2005 Saab 9-2x Aero. It was purchased with a blown motor... Long story short, it has a full STi conversion save the ECU and harness (didn't want to pull apart the dash just for drive by wire). The exterior paint is ****ed, but everything else is well maintained. I look forward to attending the next meet!

Awesome, thanks for the heads up. I hope my work schedule will allow me to attend at least one of these meets in the next month. :-)

Thanks for the warm welcome! I hope to make time to attend all the meets you've suggested.

On a side note, I started filling out the "Garage" thing for my profile, but believe it or not, I don't really have any nice clean shots of my ride. I did however document my cloth to leather conversion, so i'll share those with you guys right now if you care to view the transformation...

Welcome. I personally cant stand leather seats, but they do look nice.

I think you should paint the stereo surround thing to match the center of the seats.

Wow, I can honestly say I've never met someone with a hatred towards leather, but I respect that. :-) This was my first car without leather and my dog immediately stank it up, so I made it a priority to find a dog barrier and a leather interior with heated seats.

Regarding the dash trim around the radio, I completely agree it should be a different color. However, I would like it to be black. I never considered matching it to the seats though so I might look into that if they make paint that actually duplicates that color... Thanks for the suggestion!
