Hello, my name is..
Scot
Joining to further my research before I buy an STi. Been in the market for a couple of years but am looking to pull the trigger by Jan. 2013. Currently commute in an 02' Accord and have put over 290k miles since 04. I've owned and fixed up three cars and one bike. 66' Mustang, 98' Jetta, the V6 Accord and 03' GSXR 600. Was on a forum back in the day when with an MC in the 209 area. Over the passed five years my car desire has changed a few times but the STi is the only one that has gotten better over the years. I will buy 09' & up, depending on the deal. There seems to be quite a few Subaru forums, even some specific to the models but from the little browsing I've done this seems the best I've come across. I've got a lot to learn still about the brand and terminology but I'm hoping to get some good advice for when I make my purchase.
Too long of an intro?!
(it's been years since being on a forum where I was considered a post *****, I promise that's not going to be the case here)

Welcome
. This forum has a pretty nice central valley section. So your on the right fourm. They always have meets and events out there. 09+ STi's are super nice, keep in mine the tunes from the factory are crap so if you pick one up(even if it's stock) get a tune. Should run you about $300. Also, the pistons are kinda 50/50 on reliability. Lots of stock motor failures since 07+. So keep that in mind too.
