Exclamation Give me your opinion... please!! =]

ok so i have the dark gray color 06 sti and i was thinking about getting my bbs wheels powder coated. Here is my idea, i want to get the outside of the rim black and the inside of the rims pink, and the little sti on the front of the rim pink let me know what you think? or should i just do the whole rims black? also does any one know where i could get the black center caps with the pink sti logos??? thanks for looking

I'm pretty sure the powder coating process is bad for the BBS wheels. I don't know for certain, but I know I've heard that theory thrown around a bit.

But my opinion on the wheels? Sounds horrible.

From what I understand, to powdercoat wheels you have to heat them to fairly specific temps. If the temps are not correct it affects the strength of the wheel. Just make sure its done by a proper place, like shipping to HRE Wheels, though it kinda seems cost prohibitive to do it correctly...As far as color, if you like it, then rock it!

pink and black wouldnt look that great on a bbs wheel IMO. maybe a wheel that has a lip on it. i really like the idea though. sounds very unique.

ya i know the guy thats going to do the powder coating and he is amazing at it, but i dont know really how much the sandblasting is gona affect it if it does? but thanks for the opinions i think im gonna go with just straight black and do the little sti on the front of the wheel pink.. =p ill post pics after i do it

I agree with others if it had a nice lip on the wheel then black and pink would look pretty good. As for the powder coating its not so good for them to be heated so high and can change how strong the wheel is in the end. You can do a search i am sure and see what others have said about powder coating.

for sure if i get some rims with a lip ill def do that getting them done tomorrow ill post pics up after there done just black and the little sti part on the rim will be pink
