I suppose it's best to let you know that most mods if not all mods in terms of power will require a tune. I believe even something as common as a short ram or cold air intake requires it.
Trajunky and blazingbuda are on point!
As Buda said, an accessport is what a lot of people go with as if you plan to gain more power in the future its convenient.
I believe the bugeyes also were able to tune from a vag cable or something along those lines. - someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Wow, you guys are the best!! Here i am bored as hell in my sociology class thinking about my car and i get immediate replies. What a family. Thanks so much.
Anyone know how much an access port is gonna set me back... Im pretty broke at the moment. And just to clarify, i can tune it myself through the AP, i dont also need to take it to the shop?
I have much to learn. Again i appreciate your patience and input

Well you might find a used one on here or NASIOC, or you can get a tactrix cable and go open source. But I would put it back to stock or dont get into boost at all until you have means of tuning it.
And yes if you get an AP, you can download maps from cobb's site. AP's cost 500-600 bucks.
Tactrix cable = 169 software is free to download. And there are some tuners that produce great maps over the net for cheap $85 bucks. Torqued performance is once of them.
Otherwise get it to a tuner ASAP, see of they can throw a tune on it that will get you by until you have money for AP or pro tune.
