How about the new Mustang GT? $30,495 for plain jane 2011 GT.
By the way, it is rumored that Ford underestimated the hp by a good 20+.
The M3 is not what it used to be in my opinion. Instead of the "league of it's own" performance machine it once was it is a techno'd out expensive status symbol. It appears to have gone completely away from it's roots. Don't get me wrong, it can still perform (it better) but when stock mustangs are beating it or close you are just buying it for the sparkles and shine. $25K+ more in sparkles and shine that is...

I agree, it is certainly not a bang for the buck vehicle. I, for one, will never own a plane jane Mustang and I can get one for way less than MSRP as I'm in Iraq and can use the exchange which save you about 5000 right off the bat. My friend has a new M3 and while it's pretty quick and drives great its just and awesome car, extremely comfortable and good for long road trips which is about all I do anymore.
After the last 5 months in either a Blackhawk or an MRAP anything looks good.

Try the new Camero. My buddy got a base model as a rental and let me drive it around a bit. Granted, it was just the base model but OMG. I could barely see out of it (I'm 6') and it had more body role than my wife's hyundai elantra (yes, I've tried it, lol). The only thing the new Camero is missing is a cannon turret and it would be right there to support your Blackhawk from the ground.

That can't be right. I can't think of several 4 doors that would smoke anything in Subarus lineup.

Notice the STi (05 anyway) doesn't even make the top 100. EVO does, however.
And before someone brings up the blazing speed 2011 STi lap time read this:

It wasn't a production car.

I don't know guys, but i love my driving my Subaru, even though EVOs, Speed 3 and muscle cars are faster on the straight aways but out here they sit on the side line and watch the Subies do what they do best.
I've seen an stock N/A impreza beat a GT Mustang in a time attack, and 08 WRX eat an EVO 10 alive also in a time attack. I know some of y'all think this is not true, but it is. In regards to gas usage and milage, the issue i have with gas is initial take off, the AWD system love making the boxer engine drink gas like it's water.
just my own 2 cents.
