Just want to say hi, got my car about a week ago.

Got some question right off the bat:

*Where can I get installation of a car alarm cheap?
meaning: installation = cheap
alarm = decent price

*Are there any decently stocked showrooms or retailers of aftermarket products in the Boston area?

*How petty are the cops here about Non-DOT headlights: ex. JDM projectors?

Back in California they had a place famous for "the 1$ install" on stereo stuff and alarms (as long as you bought it there and the prices were decent).

 

Don't know what you consider cheap, but if you want a good install job head to Tweeter in Salem NH. One of the installers there owns an '02 WRX Wagon and knows the electronics inside and out. If you want a really good alarm with 2 way communication with your remote check out the Viper790XV - it's an alarm and a remote start with Neutral and Parking Brake sensors (I believe). I am replacing my Alpine 150R with the above mentioned Viper. BTW - I work for that same Tweeter! If you wanna swing by I am working Friday till 9:00PM and Saturday till 7:00. Ask for Jeff

There is a place in Quincy called Pro-Spec on the corner of Water and Franklin Streets that is pretty good for parts and I think installation. Not a huge place but they do have some WRX-Specific aftermarket parts.

 

if you buy the factory alarm and install that yourself its really easy.
