I figured I'd see if you guys may be able to help me out with this. I'm up in the Portland, ME area and had a bit of an ordeal the other day with my RS. I had parked it downtown for a couple of hours, only to return to see that some jackass had torn the hood scoop completely off. The hood itself isn't damaged in any way, or anything else...I just have that gaping hole there now. Does anyone know of where I could find one of these scoops? Maybe a wrecked car or someone has one kicking around since they modified theirs? (Mine is a '98) Thanks for any help, I haven't had much luck so far looking around.

 

If your car was vandalized, file a claim with your insurance. They'll have it replaced with the real thing. You could also try a junkyard or hunt down an aftermarket scoop online. That sucks, though.

 

shooot, in Portland?? whats up with that? i always thought p.land was pretty good. i guess you can't escape stupidity. sorry to hear about it. but like was mentioned, i would file a claim and have it replaced. someone stole something from you, so let the Man know, and talk to your insurance co.

Vandalism is high in Portland/Westbrook right now. I work at Saturn of Westbrook and we've lost a couple radios and windows, I'm sure its the same at the other dealers. Also others are reporting stolen cars.

It'd be nice if they lighten up on State Inspection Laws and crack down on real crime!
