Good RI Dealers
If you don't know what happened to my old wrx go here:https://www.i-club.com/forums/showth...&threadid=2689 I am now shopping for a new one. What dealers are good in the area? I live in Newport and went to Pilgrim, Bald Hill, and Anchor. Anchor gave the best quote. Bald hill seemed like good guys but are $600 higher, and Pilgrim just said they would match any other quote. IMO pilgrim has no guts because it's easy to match, but hard to throw out a good number. I like Bald hill for location, and thats where I was getting service. Where did you get your cars and how was the price and experience?
Thanks

Car Info: 2003 STX Pro-Solo/Solo-II National Champion
Check Somerset Subaru, just on the other side of Fall River.
24N to 195W 1st exit over the bridge (Somerset). Left at lights. Bout a mile up the road on the left. (I work in Newport)
I got my car at Exeter Subaru in NH. Experience was OK as far as bying cars ok... nothing bad, nothing good.

Bald Hill sucks!
whatever you do don't buy from Bald Hill! Thats where I got my WRX last April. Worst car buying experience ever! Many people on NESIC are familiar with my experience. Its a long story.
Just recently in fact, I went there(because I was in the area) for them to pull a CEL code, and the service manager(I'm assuming) told me he couldn't pull code because of my DP. What?
Going in I had a pretty good idea that it was something to do with my exhaust(catless), just wanted to make sure it wasn't something major.
And they tried to charge me for the mechanic time to look at the car(which was about 5 min).
In short I had a very bad buying and service experience there!
I get all my dealer needs from Somerset Subaru as well, closer to me and they're not bad when it comes to mods!

RE: Pilgrim Subaru, two good experiences
Jacobsen1,
I just purchased my second Subaru from Pilgrim Subaru (first was a 2001 Outback, second was a 2003 WRX). I feel that I got great deals on both. For a car buying experience, it was definately the least hastle that I've had.

joatmonios,
Yeah, but they won't give me an offer. They will only "match" someone else's. This is the complete easy way out for them. The only have to see what someone else will sell it to me for and then match that. What did you pay for your 2003 there and what did it have on it?
Thanks for the replies though guys. This is a tough choice. Also I might be trading in a dodge pickup that was purchased at... Bald Hill dodge, so that might complicate the issue. now I need to see what they will all give me for that truck along with what they will sell me the car for for the lowest total price.
