Pruven Performance in New Milford i believe....they have an AWD dyno too

Just wanna say hope this doesnt start a "whose shop is better war". But Ive been to Pruven and was not impressed at all. The 2 or 3 thimes that I was there, I was not even helped. It was like the people workin there could care less about gettin my business. Their big selling point is that they have an AWD dyno. But they charge u an arm and a leg to use the damn thing. I guess u have to be buddy buddy with them to get a halfway fair price. Also, when I 1st got my WRX a lil over a year ago, I went there to see what they would recommend I do. When I asked them for advice, the guy LITERALLY told me "I dunno, what do u want to do"? What an idiot answer that was coming from an employee of a performance shop. And then, I asked him what kind of parts they could get in for my car, he said just parts for the engine. He couldn't order a freakin exhaust for my car! Needless to say, I will never go there again. And the times I went, the place was filthy as hell.

I not goto XXtuning in Whethersfield. This place is clean, they have a SL of WRX parts in stock, and the guys now exactly what thet are doing. I have done about $5 G worth of business with them and I would never go anywhere else. The guys there no exactly what they are talking about. Also, u dont have to be buddy buddy with them to get good prices and service. And by the way, they do have the UTEC. So, if u want the work done right..... check them out... XXtuning.com Later

So, we are all meeting at Marcus Dairy at 12 noon on Sunday January 5th. Sounds good. And if any of u guys have friends with civics or gay cars like that, DON'T bring them. This happened before and it turned into a big rice party. LOL. I'm gonna post this on NASIOC.com Maybe we will get some more people from there to meet up with us. Talk to u guys soon.

I was thinking of going to this meet but after the following comment... "And if any of u guys have friends with civics or gay cars like that, DON'T bring them." I'm not going to. Just so happenes my good friends have "gay cars like that" and respect all cars.

Funny, I can't remember a time when they ever said " And if any of you guys have friends with WRX's, DON'T bring them"

This is a Subaru forum, not a Honda forum. Everyone here is interested in Subarus, not Hondas. If u want to start a Civic meet, cool, goto the Honda forums. You will probly find alot of civic-lovers there. But, u will not find too many Civic lovers here. Subaru and Civics are too totally different cars like hot/cold, black/white, etc.... Also, whats the attitude for? Do u think us Subbie peopel should all "respect" civics? Come on now! I have friends with civics too except they are all girls, lol. They know u can't compare civics to WRXs or other subbies. Come on now!

Don't get all worked up over us not respecting civics. It's not fair to compare the too. And I guess if the comment about civics offended u that much, u really aren't a true Subbie fan. Maybe u should trade ur Subbie in and get 3 civics in return. I'm sure you'd be happy....

Bottom line: Just suck it up and come to the meet. It's gonna be fun. For once, we are getting together to have a good time and we just don't wanna be over taken by rice, thats all.

Wow, I really don't know what to say to your post.... wait, yes I do. It's that same pathetic elitist attitude that kills the subaru image. I have many friends with all different types of Honda's, VW's, Mitsu's that can and do clown any Subaru you throw at them. I respect all people that put effort into their cars as long as it's not just a wing and exaust tip

You talk like you drive a Ferrari.... you don't. I know people that do and they don't even say stuff like that. I'm not getting worked up at all, I just don't want to be assosiated with anyone/group where there is such a closeminded outlook. It's unfourtunate really.

Dude, simple as this...A couple of guys, along with myself, set up a date and time for us Subbie owners to have a good time and check out each others' rides. I have started a few other meets in the past myself and what has happened... turned into a freakin rice show. Just don't want that too happen. Is that soooo awful? If u wanna start ur own subbie/honda meet, go ahead, I honestly wish ya the best. But atleast for the 1st couple weeks, let's keep the integrity of what this meeting is all about...which is subaru, nothing else. Then maybe integrate some Euro-cars into it.

And I see ur very touchy so I won't say anything bad about Hondas, even tho alot of people, especially in these forums, hate them. Just remember, this is a Subaru forum, meant for Subaru owners, not Honda owners. Goto the Honda forums if that's what you are interested in.

Well, if u read earlier in this ost, it was mentioned by some people that CT people never do anything, etc etc...So, for once, cuz it has been a while since some kind of meet was established around here, that's all.

 

If you want to have a Subaru exclusive meet, more power to you. I've never had a problem with that. My issue lies within your comment, not the meet. Opinion, no? What is rice? An individuals tastes that differs from yours? I have no need to. This is the second reference you’ve made about me getting ‘worked up’ or being ‘touchy’ about this subject. Yeah… um… I’m really just not.You just said you weren’t going to say anything bad about Hondas. No? I really like the condescending tone in which you write. Are you in management or a salesman? I know this boards purpose, and to whom it serves. And like you I have an opinion. You made a comment, I told you I didn’t like it. Point; counterpoint.

You brand a certain group of people as ricers and state that they are unwelcome. Then berate them because of their taste/style. Come on now. That makes you just as bad as the “ricers”. Then stating that they’re girls cars, yet overlooking that Subaru has the highest lesbian sales percentage. Hence girls cars for girls that are into girls.

I’m not touchy, irritated, upset, or anything like that, but it does annoy me when anyone looks down on people for certain behaviors and then act the way their calling other people out for.

Have a fun meet. There will be more and I’ll be at the ones when the attitude isn’t “ricers go home”
