I'm here every so often but usually don't check the New England forum for some reason.....and I rarely see other Subies (2.5's, Rex's, STi's) on the road....when I do, I honk and give a thumbs-up.....and usually get this look like "What'd I do?" CT people suck in general me thinks. And I live here.

I think it's the, "Don't bother me or I'll..." kinda thing. We've become so self-centric, that we fear invading others' space even by honking, or saying hi, etc. It's a societal thing, and probably more prevelant in CT too.

But, I'm always game for anything Subaru. I just bought a brand new 2004 RS (red with spoiler and fogs) and am loving every minute I'm in it. I make up reasons to take a long drive: "Oh, I need to go to the grocery, but the one down the street isn't the best one." I've put on 2000 miles in less than a month! Half of them though were driving around like grandma during my engine breakin.

Oh, and btw, there is one stretch of road between Hamden and Bethany, on route 42 that is sooo much fun to tear down at night. You can't get the top end up too high, but it's a winding rally-like road, where shifting is frequent, and acceleration is best in 2nd and 3rd gears.

I'm always free on the weekends. Give me a honk.

I'm from brooklyn but I have family in Guilford and Madison CT, so I'm up there about once a month. Was up over the weekend and spotted 3 RS's. 2 of them were in the Parking lot of the Saybrook Walmart. A WRB 99 coupe and Silverthorn 00 sedan, both of them very stock. Later the same day spotted a WRB 98 RS, also very stock, in the lot at Clinton Crossings Outlets. Never seen so many on one day.

P.S. My Dealer is Premier Subaru in Branford. Without a doubt the best in every way.
