I need a good shop in Traverse City

I just moved to Traverse City and need to get a 30,000 mile service on my 2002 WRX. The dealership wanted $680, which seems like it is way to much money.

Anyone know of I good shop close by?

You might have a problem up in the great white north finding
much for awd service. The closest place other than dealership
(my auto import center) Muskegon
There is a great place out in holland (non dealership)
Thats probably two hours from you.

New to Traverse also

Moved to Traverse last summer. As for shops, I don't know any, I do my own work.

have you checked with Subaru by the bay? Its 1/2 hour drive, but they seem to be good.

by the way, what color wrx do you drive? I've seen a blue and yellow one recently as I was driving through TC.

I have a '02 Blue. Stock right now, in the summer I have 17" Prodrives with SO2s.

That would be yes on the tranny mount, very easy job.

No, I did mine about a year ago, while I was under there I also put in a set of KartBoy shift bushings. Total time was like an hour. Let me know if you need a hand.

I am also going to put in the shift bushing and a kartboy short throw. I read that you should also put in new engine mounts. I don't know if I want to tackle that yet.
