The race was in Prairie City at the OHV park. They have a 12 race series in the summer and a 5 race series in the fall. It was a blast.

They've got some pics up but no real good ones of me

thanks, man, I really enjoyed it. I want to be a better rider and racing is going to help me get a lot better real fast. In addition, mountain biking is a hobby I can afford - it's much easier to sell Josey on a top of the line bike product ($200 - $500 for individual parts) than some $800 struts, $1600 wheels, $1200 turbo package, etc, etc, etc

The only pic with me clearly in it. Second lap going down the first hill. I would blast by the guy in the folsom prison striped shirt but I think he caught me two hills later

I'm just to the right of the center of the frame - black shorts, green shirt, casper legs.

I hate to be all skimonkey on the times, but Josey has an unexpected night off work and I plan to take advantage. I checked and weather.com shows temps at 63F tomorrow at noon, with a high of 71 in ASRA. How bout 10 or 10:30? Egan - call me when you see this or get my voicemail on your cell.

I won't be there. I'm going riding at Annandel tomorrow. MTBR members put together this May By The Bay meet every year and for 10 days or so ride a different spot each day in the bay area.

Divide loop was fun today! Even though the hail hurt like a *****, the cool temps were REALLY nice. I'm loving riding lately - it's awesome to be seeing some real results from all the effort I've put in to get faster and in better shape. I actually really enjoyed Divide Loop today. IMO, lower lot FTW. In the future, Mike, if the parking at lower lot sucks, we can park at the top of Old Foresthill Rd. and ride connector over to divide and then back the same way

I think starting when I get back from my trip I want to get in to some longer rides! I'm at work now so I'll probably post pics tomorrow when I wake up.

I'm home earlier than expected. Here da pics be:

The views on this trail are awesome:

It hailed on us. I never realized how badly hail could sting when hitting your bare skin while you were going 20+ mph . You can see the ice chunks on the ground there just right of center.

I'm still sore from Annadel on Saturday. Something to do with a rigid bike, I suppose. 25 to 30 people showed up. An awesome ride. Probably six or so singlespeeders, including me. Lots of climbing, mostly singletrack. You guys would love this place. We were out for nearly 5 hours, with about 3 and half in the saddle. A few people have posted some pics here http://forums.mtbr.com/showthread.php?t=195834. I need to remember to bring a camera.

NIce pics. Looks like I might not be riding for a few days. I have to take my bike in to REI - the crank bolt keeps coming loose lately and I'm getting some bad vibration and chain alignment. On Olmstead last week that was the cause of the weird noise I was complaining about towards the end of the ride.

I tightened up the bolt later, then after FHDL this weekend the bolt was loose again :|
