I'm in. Back road. Or up to Tahoe sounds nice!

ZombieFetuz 05-10-2013 01:27 PM

Yeah I don't mind long cruises, just keep throwing out suggestions and we can start setting up dates that majority of us can attend at.

Darth Wagon 05-10-2013 02:07 PM

This is awesome, I was just thinking to myself, "I should start a group drive thread and see what dates work for everyone." And then I see this haha.

How about something that starts late on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon, maybe 6 or 7ish and then goes until 8,9,or 10?

We could start in Sac and head to Folsom and then to Placerville and make our way up 49 to Auburn? The only issue with night drives on 49 would be deer.

Or, howabout starting in Sac/Roseville and heading up 80 to Auburn and then taking 49 to Placerville, that way we would be done with 49 and back on 80 before the deer are too active.

Just some thoughts, thanks for taking the initiative on this.

People who want can do 49, I rather not with that being said I had a very bad experience with me in the passenger seat and my friend driving. To sum it up my friends car was totaled by the end of the night.

Man that is unfortunate, things like accidents are sometimes inevitable when driving in general but once we get this going I advise everyone to drive safe and not like a jackass. Of course we can have some fun here and there but it's really common sense that can save you from a accident or even your life.

Superusdm 05-10-2013 03:25 PM

I would be in for this depending on location and duration.... haha... uhhh. +1 for night drives and smoothest roads possible please.

Yes! More local members chime in and we can actually get to planning and organizing!

rymaggi 05-10-2013 04:31 PM

Down, depending on day. Finals week ahead...

Same here, more likely this will be taken into action after next week when finals are done and majority of people myself included that are going to school are free! Basically this will start up when summer begins.

Honestly, I feel that as it gets darker and the hour gets later, the likelyhood of someone having a wreck would increase. I'm all for a night cruise but it's something to keep in mind. That's kinda why I was suggesting starting while it's still light and then being back on a major highway by the time it's getting dark.

I would think that rural country highways, while fun and twisty, aren't the place to be after sundown. Just my two pennies.

Also, what would people think of HWY 160/River Rd. from West Sac through Clarksburg and further south? I haven't been that way for years so I don't really remember what the road is like.

why everyone afraid of car accidents? don't drive like a hot head and nothing will happened. city is by far the most dangerous to drive.... more cars equal more rolls of the dice to get hit...:owws:

I agree, we don't have to race there and back, just enjoy the drive like a nice walk on a beach :-)
