Rocklin/Roseville Subie Meets?
 

I've seen a ton of Subaru's out in the Rocklin area. Anyone interested on getting some meets together for Rocklin/Roseville/Lincoln/Auburn area? I'd like to go to the Sac area ones but don't get off early enough to make it out there on Thurs nights. Hit me up if you're interested!

I was thinking moreso a Friday or Saturday night but whatever works. How about we do a poll? Somewhere along the freeway would be nice (65). Any suggestions?

Totally. I think the key is to pick locations near food. Thus far it seems like Thomas has hit the nail on the head with favorite eateries. Food is good:)

I second this...awesome sushi place......we could park in an area across the street from it since i am pretty sure there isn't anything there.....it's right off 65 near the mall.

Also, what time do you get off on Thurs? Norm there are ppl still there till 10pm or later (now it might get earlier with it getting cold/dark sooner).

So how about first meet at Izumi Sushi at 7 next Thursday? Shouldn't be too late since all of us are pretty local.

Thursdays at 7 is the Sac one, and that reaches up into the Roseville area quite often. chicken and I just got off topic about the sac meet in this thread. Sorry about that.

Yeah a fair amount of us guys do up the sac meets on Thursday nights at 7 soooo i think Thursday wont be the best day.....Sunday would be cool even though i am not sure what work will be like for me on Sundays. I think a poll for the day and time would be a good idea.

I'm in - since I come down from Yuba City, heading down 65 is not so bad. I'm off work @ 3:30pm weekdays, so I could make it anytime after that. Also, sushi is a great reason to come out - my wife & I both love it. Yup. My co-worker told me about the place. Way chill, good service, good sushi. All you can eat is a good deal if you eat sushi like I do.

Ya sounds good! Only one prob is parking sucks! I was there last night at about 7 an the parking lot was full I got one spot in the back by Micky D's

another good place is Sonic burger off pleasant grove, its right off 65 with a huge empty parking lot

This would work. Sonic, Habit Burger, Panera, and Chick Fil A (or however the eff you're supposed to spell it) are all right there. Well Sonic and Habit are across the stree but still close.

I agree - only the person who started the thread can add a poll, though, so put up a choice of which day of the week, I think. The location most recently discussed sounds good - lots of parking & options for food. Maybe have the first meet around the 2nd week of January after everyone's back from vacation?

Anyone down for meeting up at the Free World Burrito place that opened up a couple weeks back on the corner of Pleasant Grove and Fairway? (Next to the Krispy Kreme) ... or we can even meet at KK. It's cold enough outside for coffee.

Only reason I would stay away from a weekend (Sat/Sun) meet is that it generally brings a lot of rice and unwanted cars showing up. The true car enthusiasts will show up during the week :laugh:

Hey guys, Another idea, just went to speed factory for the first time tonight and had lots of fun. Its a indoor go cart track that just opened, like (RPM) but its in roseville right off 65 (Blue Oaks and Washington) I am friends with the family that owns it and talked to them about having subi club meet ups there and they are 100% for it. So if you guys would be interested thats another idea...

I've always wanted to try RPM but haven't made the drive yet. I say we hit Habit Burger and then get some track time in at Speed Factory.

Totally in for this!

I raced at RPM and its fun but a bit of a drive from Rocklin. Speed Factory is right down the street. They also aren't as formal as RPM as there's no "rules video" and you don't have to wear those race suits. That being said though, Speed Factory is VERY stripped down. Its a warehouse with a track inside it, unlike RPM which has a nice area to relax and chat while waiting to race. Speed Factory also goes by laps, not time.

I'd be in for a group rate & some food & fun!

ya its lots of fun, they have a cart track, and a circle drift track, prices are very good (cheaper than RPM), you can bring your own helmet and neck brace, they are building a bar and snack bar right now. They have couches and TVs for people to hang out. Brent the owner sounded very excited about the meet, if you guys are down we can have our first meet next tues at 6:30 and if we get 10 or more ill see if we can work out some kind group deal.

Not sure I could make it by 630. Prolly closer to 7 I could make it

How late is Speed Factory open these days? Their [URL="http://www.speedfactorykarting.com/"][U]website [/U][/URL]isn't really fully built out, but said something about open 11-11 when they get things up & running. I might bring my daughter out there to play, so if we have a big enough group we might be able to get a decent deal on taking over the place.

we could prob do 7, they closed at 8 last night, but I'm sure if we get a good group I'm sure they'll stay open a little late and give us a group discount, but we need like 10 or more which shouldn't be hard

next tues the 17th would work, i will shoot them an email and see if we can get a group discount, i was just in there a few days ago and talked about it more and its iffy if we can get a discount. There a business, they need to make money like everyone else, but its not super expensive, its like $25 a race which is better than RPM

I heard about it... I may roll but not bring any of my cars. It was terrible last time there was about 20 cops... Who knows how it will be tomorrow.
