Well sorry to all of those that missed tonights meet. As most of the regulars know, this location is known for funny/weird/crazy stories coming about (more so than just any meet).

Well tonight did not let us down one bit!!

About 930ish an older Honda (that had been parked there a while) started backing out and BARELY missed Ken and Jordan's cars while then hitting the black wrx parked at the end (ended up being a guy who works in In-n-Out). Guy in the honda flips out after all of us start yelling at him like "whoa stop stop stop!" Driver then floors it to go straight and almost hits a couple members, slams on the brake, throws it into reverse and guns it. AGAIN comes literally less than an inch from smashing the from of Ken's legacy. By this time everyone is yelling at the guy and trying to get to the honda and the driver. The driver then punches it, completing his 3-point turn, and almost takes out another handful of members.

wtf...

i just start running after him hoping he was going to get caught up by another car. i chase him thru the parking lot and down the street a block or two. By then one of the Chris's pull up and i hop in. We start driving down the road looking for the car, cant be found anywhere. Cops are called and tell them what just happened.

We told the owner of the car what happened and asked if a guy fitting the drivers description happens to work at In n out (because the honda had been parked there for so long)... and just so happens someone does, who had just gotten off around that same time.

So more than likely it was a fellow employee who hit the car and thought it was just one of ours.

Crazy end to the night and SUPER glad no one got hurt. We left our info for the owner just in case we could be of further help to him.

 

Damn that sucks!!! Did they really even say anything? Did they take a report?

 

They took a little report. They said they are going to go to his house and see if he confesses and if not they want me to identify a picture of him. But the license plate number came up with a name of a guy that works with Matt (the owner of the car that got hit) so we definitely know who it is.

What was the descriptor again? Caucasian male, darker hair, average height?

Glad it all got connected.. Hope the next time we hit up that spot (in 4-6 weeks) Matts there and we can ask him what happened

 

it was either a white dude or russian. average height. slim build. i didnt see the hair color

 

Yeah, I'm sure it will be obvious if they look at his car. I did forget to tell them that it was his rear passenger fender, but I'm sure black paint on a light car will stand out a little.

 

He had dark hair. But that's pretty much the discription I gave as well.

I don't think they are going to add in the almost hiring human part to his sentence. I think they are just mainly concerned with the actual hitting and running.

 

Not almost hiring. That makes no sense in this story. I meant to say almost hitting. Duh.

 

Insurance will overnight parts from Japan...

 

I got a good look at him. slender ish build. maybe about 5'9-6'. short dark hair. definitely white.

 

oh my lord. so glad I didn't come out. had he hit my car I'd be in jail right now

good thing none of you were hurt though. that's crazy
