Lightbulb Monday 1/17/05 Drive 7AM Greenback & Auburn-Folsom Rd.

I'll move this to the events section after a day or two of exposure.

We kicked around the idea of a drive on Monday since a lot of us (sorry Scott & Aaron) will be off of work. Obviously we cannot hit Mosquito Ridge or WWS due to snow (although we could hit 75-80% of Mosquito Ridge). So maybe one of Alan's suggestions from last time would be better. Let me know what you all think:

We could combine a few *somehow* (I'm too lazy to search out everything right now):

I thought about the Lake Berryessa area too, but it may be a little too busy on the Holiday. Feel free to offer up other suggestions.

Still open at this point, but earlier (7am, 8am) is usually better.

Are you doing the surgery or something? Just give the doc your cell number if he needs anything (j/k obviously).

Actually, Egan, I was thinking last night that a drive this weekend would be fun. Great minds think alike I'm down for Monday.

i don't work for the federal govt. or even at one of their facilities... our branch of the company doesn't take any of the federal holidays off except for: x-mas, new years day, thanksgiving, 4th of july, and memorial day.

all those other days we work and take a credit on those days to use between x-mas eve and new years, that way we get a week and a half break without using any vacation days.

Yeah, Scott Rd is so ghetto. It probably got flooded during last week's rain too.

Mike, why can't you arrange a normal Sunday drive?!

I thought about Sunday, but the original idea was to accomodate some folks who had Monday off anyway. We'll see if this even happens...

We need a time and a route. Please make some suggestions. The last time I put a drive together, only two people showed up and I was one of them.

We could also do Mosquito Ridge Road (or most of it). I would of course propose the long way:

Depart Aubrun-Folsom & Greenback
Through Folsom to Salmon Falls Road
Salmon Falls to HWY49
Left on HWY49 and down to the river
Right over the bridge to Old Foresthill Road
Follow that to the New Foresthill Road
Take that out to Mosquito Ridge Road
