The Hole Crew chat thread.
To anyone interested, you need to know a few things before you sign up.
- If you drive like a complete @$$, you will be asked to leave, even if we're in the middle of nowhere and you don't know how to get home. This includes lane splitting, crossing double yellows, endangering pedestrians/cyclists/etc, and not respecting your fellows drivers to name a few. You have been warned.
- These drives do not last just a few hours. Expect to be on the road all day. If you have plans while the sun is still up, you're better off staying home. You can leave anytime at your discretion, but the route home is your responsibility. Do not blame us if you get lost. People have gotten lost before on this drive, so it DOES happen.
- There will be breaks in between, but not necessarily at reststops. Bring your own beverages and snacks. We will likely stop to get food, so cash would be smart.
- Radios will make this drive easier to stay in touch, so those who have one/few should bring them out. Make sure they work properly, or you'll just end up talking to yourself. Again, this has happened before...
- If you're not comfortable with your driving, or your car, please stay home. We have a good safe driving record, and would like to keep it that way. Please do not show up to FIND/EXCEED your limit. I nearly failed my "everyone passes" CPR test back in high school, so you should fear the kind of help you'll receive from me, should you need it. We all drive differently and respect that. This does not mean you should slow down the group, just be comfortable with the pace.
- The route will not be posted, for privacy purpose. Those interested will likely receive a PM from our fearless navigator. (Not me, i'm the one that gets lost)
- A car wash may be a good idea, as there will be plenty of picture opportunities throughout the drive.
Well guys, if you have anything to add, put them up. It's the first drive of the season, so lets have fun.

yeah we're driving from sun-up to sun down.
some things i'd like to post up again:
1. summer tires are a good plus. generally it'd be nice to make sure your tires have a high operating temperature. all seasons are not recommended by moi.
2. bring a radio. after being out there in groups so many times, this seems more important than getting sleep the night before.
3. we drive for long enough for brakes to fade and fail. it would be really nice if you could bleed your brakes before you show up. excessive heat causes oxygen molecules to form from the brake fluid, and them bubbles are no good for braking. we've had slight trouble with brake systems before.
4. during the drive, once the line order is set, its SET UNTIL WE HAVE A REST STOP or until another situation where it is safe to do so. passing lanes are usually a VERY bad spot to pass each other, unless we all radio in for it.
and yeah..still don't know if i'm gonna go drive..i might just sit shotgun all day and listen to my ipod hahahaha.
