I believe you have to pay some enrollment fee or something like that, then they give you a certain amount of sponsorship funds, and only from a few select companies.

 

Yea.... but is it worth it? I called and of course they said yes..... but i wanna know if anyone here has tried it out?

 

I spoke with them before and what they had to offer didn't really interest me, but for some it would probably be ok.

 

I got a stupid *** question to ask, for which i will probably get made fun of tomorrow, but on the Old skool RS's like 1998.... those wern't turbo'd right? If they wern't, the hood scoop was connected directly to the air box right? Just like the scoop feeds the intercooler on the WRX and Sti.

Those were not turbo'd from the factory = DOHC 4-valve 2.5 Liter F4 w/MFI

Here are some performance numbers:

City 22 and Highway 28 mpg
0-60 MPH 7.5 seconds
1/4 Mile (E.T.) 16 seconds @ 85.5 mph
Top speed 110 mph

 

I probably won't be there tomorrow. The conversion is esentially done but my dumbass forgot to give the shop o2 sensors and egt sensor. So right now its just waiting on parts. I'll be bringing it out soon though.

Actually, the hood scoop is covered up by some plastic cover under the hood. Haha. Yea, I know, it was a ricer car out of the factory. My car's stock, so I just left the cover there. :P
