Tuesday night Meet
Oh, and a million times this....
I already mentioned this to Josh the other nite... if y'all wanna have a better turnout, this meet needs to (A) move to a location w/ much more parking or (B) change the meet time to 8:30 or later.
Not sure if I offered advice in this thread sometime ago or if it was in the other short-lived, low turnout Contra Costa County meet from a few months back, but a spot that has adequate parking should've been a no brainer. Especially if y'all had/have hopes to grow in numbers. I guess the place is fine for a meet of half a dozen or less Subies if that's the goal.
The Thurs nite meet at Kohl's across the highway was pretty a couple years ago. Sucked to hear from Josh that young knuckleheads make it a not so cool place on a recent visit of his. But who knows? Maybe his experience was a rarity. Maybe Tues nites there will be OK. Doesn't hurt to scope it out and try. Y'all could easily just drive back over to Freebirds if Kohl's turns out to be no bueno. Then go back to the drawing board to find another good location.
I dunno. I'm just trying to help y'all out. I wouldn't mind making the trek across the bridge once in a while if y'all can get this going. Yes! In case y'all missed that, not only did I drive across a bridge I have to pay toll on my return trip, but I also drove an extra 20 minutes. Call me crazy but I cruised right past a perfectly good meet, which is only 10 minutes from my place to see what y'all meet was all about. I was glad that I was still able to hang out w/ some cool peeps in V-town after leaving the non-meet in WC.
Last piece of advice, keep coming out to the big Wed nite meet in Fremont to get to know more folks, esp. the ones that live somewhat close to Walnut Creek. That way, you'll have some ready-made contacts to have roll thru to this meet whichever spot & whichever nite it ends up being.
Oh, and there's also a smaller Monday nite meet in Dublin. Yet even closer by about 15 min.
Lotsa options, people. G'luck. That's my $0.02. I'm out. *drops mic*

Cliff this meet is solely here for people with gratuitous amounts of money, hood spacers, and ones that get butthurt and want to fight.
Yeah, Heedz. Even amidst the trolling and the back & forth jabs, there have been some genuine pieces of advice & whatnot. I just laid it out there to see what this crew of guys do with it.
Will this meet just be another fart in the wind? Or will one among them step up, consider the tips & hints -- be it blunt & kinda harsh straight talk -- and make it stick. Only time will tell.

Josh (OP) and I were talking about this a couple days ago and we are thinking Pleasant Hill area near Safeway or the theater plaza (normally isn't busy at all and has plenty of space on Tuesday evenings). Any ideas are welcome but for now that's the plan and I'll be checking it out this coming Tuesday so if you'd like to come out, you're welcome to join.
