I'm new to the board and I work in MV. I'd be interested in restarting this meet. Or maybe it's not actually dead. WTF do I know?

The area where the old meet was - dead. Not a whole lot of exposure, which is a good and bad thing. Good: If the meet was moved to an area more visible to other Subaru owners, possibly more people might want to join in. Bad: Possible police intervention. The question is though... where in Sunnyvale or Mt. View... even maybe Cupertino? Suggestions anyone?

What about downtown MV? There are a few coffee shops on Castro. Santana Row would be cool, but parking might be an issue (and it's ~10 miles south of MV.) There are cheap restaurants up and down El Camino (although I can't think of one in particular.)

there's a Starbucks on El Camino and Lawrence that my buddies hold car meets sometimes. we have never had any problems there with police. there is also a Denny's in the same lot, in case we get hungry

The Starbucks on El Camino and Lawrence sounds about perfect. If I recall, one of the reasons this meet died is mainly because a day was never set. Wednesday seems reasonable. So, what time? Most importantly who's in?

if people are willing to show at the El Camino Starbucks tomorrow, wednesday july 21, i will be there at 830. i will stay for 1 hour. after that i'll leave if no one shows. hope to see some people there. i have a white 04 wagon with gold wheels.
