real professional photographers? as in they work for magazines, take real professional photos, sell them and stuff?

or just friends who have DSLR's?

I have a DSLR and have been doing photography for a long time now

some people claim to be "pro" and yet i've compared my pictures with theirs at events and have outdone them!
