Umbrellas usually dont help out in car photography when they are pointed at the car

If using a modifier I point it up or down but not at the car.

 

Shoot me a text an hour or so before you leave. I might be able to roll out. I'll need some shots when I sell my car anyways.

 

I was thinking we could meet around 7pm-ish around Almaden and go from there? Figure we grab some Subway or something beforehand.

 

We were rushing, and I'm way to lazy to PS that out.

7pm gives about 10 minutes of natural daylight left. Not a whole lotta' time for rolling shots there.

 

I have been looking at cameras.. I take pictures of everything. I constantly have to delete pics off my phone to keep it under 2,000. haha.

Time to get a quality DSLR.

I'm a Nikon guy, so be prepared for me to sell you on Nikon, but seriously - what you can get out of a DSLR for like $650 these days in absolute insanity.

 

Tell me about it, I have a GoPro Hero 2 I need to actually set up. haha. My uncle has a quality DSLR that I shoot with when I am around. But I would like my own.

 

Ah ok. I like to composite on darker cars, it makes life easier with them The best way is just to avoid them

We did a bunch of rolling shots in the garage and it worked out pretty good.

But that was super late on a Monday night so there was no one around. Might be tricky to find a location on a Saturday night that isn't too crowded.

 

I agree. But again, laziness kicks in sometimes. I did these right as my wedding season was rolling out. The editing was quick and dirty.

 

I can stay out till all walks of night, I figured a lot of people wouldn't have wanted to. But I am willing to stay out till whenever to get decent shots.

I was thinking some rolling shoots a couple cars wide through the little tunnel at SJ airport would be kinda cool, or maybe the little underpass near downtown Campbell with those lights, but I really rather AVOID Campbell at all costs. I am 100% open to suggestions of places.
